A four day Practitioner- Led Learning exchange program was held in Beechworth in April and provided an opportunity for 12 participants to explore the Social Enterprise Academy approach to learning.

This was a great opportunity for participants to share and experience activities in a ‘high support: high challenge’ learning environment. The workshop, facilitated by Jay Lamb from SEA in Scotland, explored and provided a chance for participants to practice non-directive and action learning approaches to facilitation and identify connections and shared purpose around learning and development.

Participants were able to build their confidence as a facilitator through peer support, reflection and practice and develop appropriate techniques to improve engagement. The program was for potential facilitators and community-based stakeholders keen to share experience and gain a better understanding of the Academy model.

Completion of this program is the first step towards becoming a facilitator. A selection and accreditation process follows this initial stage.
