During April, ACRE along with Social Enterprise Academy delivered a Teacher training day in Wodonga for schools involved in the Social Enterprise in Schools Program (SEiS). The main focus of the workshop was to help:

  • Teachers understand the key concepts and values of social enterprise
  • Support young people to discover and develop entrepreneurial skills
  • Gain vital skills and knowledge to set up a social enterprise in their school
  • Use social enterprise to embed employability, leadership and core skills learning  for their students

This workshop was facilitated by Jay Lamb and from Scotland who has over 28 years of experience in educational settings and is a team member of the Social Enterprise Academy in Scotland.

The learnings from the workshop will help the teachers of Wodonga Senior Secondary College, Wodonga Flexible Leaning Centre & the Wodonga Middle Years College deliver the SEiS program in their school.

Thanks to the support of Nellen for supporting this workshop and providing the opportunity for teachers to attend the workshop.
