Our Partners

ACRE has partnered with internationally-recognised entrepreneurial learning and development organisations so we can also offer global know-how, connections and resources to rural communities who want to build sustainable enterprises and create a thriving future.

We’re committed to addressing the lack of entrepreneurial opportunity and education available for young people and communities in rural Australia.

Our network of social enterprise and entrepreneurship partners provide additional experience-based rigour and support for our endeavours.

Social Enterprise Academy

Learning & development

Founded in Scotland, the Social Enterprise Academy provides world-renowned learning and development for individuals, organisations and young people who are interested in social enterprise and leadership. Its vision is a society which combines economic activity with community benefit, led by dynamic social entrepreneurs wherever they are located.

The Academy started delivering adult programs in Scotland in 2004, introduced a social enterprise program for schools in 2008, and expanded to offer international programs in 2011. Australia is one of these international hubs, and ACRE manages the Social Enterprise Academy in Australia.

Through this partnership, ACRE accesses a proven approach that inspires and engages learners of all ages, bringing out their talent and strengths.

Coworking Accelerator

Coworking Specialists

The Coworking Accelerator supports a global network of independent spaces which share its core values and are seeking methodologies to create great places to work, all rooted in their local community.

The team offers expertise so that others do not need to start from scratch, and can instead grow their coworking business rapidly, cost-effectively, securely and successfully.

The Coworking Accelerator is supporting ACRE to develop and grow the Breakout Coworking space located at Old Beechworth Gaol, helping us to identify best options for use of diverse spaces, finding ways to make it accessible and attractive and prioritising business streams.

Global innovation agency

SecondMuse collaborates with visionary governments, corporations, foundations and startups to build resilient 21st-century economies that provide for both people and the planet. It excels at developing networks that deliver and support acceleration and incubation programs for innovators.

ACRE partnered with SecondMuse to co-design and deliver The Breakout Accelerator, a dedicated program for rural innovators.

The ten enterprises selected for the 2019/2020 program built new connections and gained access to resources and infrastructure needed to accelerate exposure and entry into new markets, including international opportunities.
