Over 150 budding entrepreneurs joined us for the Community Marketplace & Awards Day at the Old Beechworth Gaol this month providing an opportunity for schools participating in Social Enterprise Schools to demonstrate and showcase their enterprise skills, developed through Social Enterprise Schools. The range and sophistication of ideas turned into real businesses with salable services and products including; Beeswax wraps, drone footage services, t-shirts & socks and so much more. Think-Start-Grow program in the Towong Shire video

The world of digital marketing will take centre stage at a series of free innovative and interactive workshops held by Towong Shire Council next month. The workshops will be facilitated by Tim Gentle, founder of Think.Digital, in a hi-tech 14-metre coach that travels throughout Australia providing digital experiences and education. The workshops are part of the Think-Start-Grow program - a major initiative to develop and support entrepreneurship throughout the Shire. Igniting Indigenous Social Enterprise image

  This is the first time SEA Australia have delivered an indigenous learning and development program which was translated in language for the participants. The approach was to use the Social Enterprise in Schools program and materials as framework for the delivery of the program for the Thamurrurr Indigenous Youth Corporation. The program was about engaging trainees in an introduction to social enterprise.  Exploring the definitions, values and purpose of social enterprise trainees were able to apply this knowledge to their own business planning process and delivery of their own social enterprise in Wadeye, Northern Territory.
