Supporting Youth Living in Remote Communities image

The students, teachers and staff of the Yuendumu community in the Northern Territory welcomed our CEO Matt Pfahlert and Program Manager Pete Sacco into their community this month and embraced new thinking around social enterprise and opportunities. The Yuendumu Community in the Northern Territory is an Indigenous Community which sits on the edge of the Tanami Desert approx. 350 kms north west of Alice Springs and together with the Wanta Aboriginal Corporation we have delivered our first social enterprise training to staff and students. The training has given the staff the skills and knowledge to support students to establish their own social enterprises in community while creating employment pathways for them when finishing school.
