SEA Australia teams up with International Partners image

This week 50 social enterprise leaders from 12 countries are uniting in Scotland ahead of the 2018 Social Enterprise World Forum in Edinburgh. This marks the first time the Social Enterprise Academy, started in Scotland in 2004 and operating in Australia since 2014, has brought together its international partners. Global movement Social enterprise has spread around the world, gaining momentum over the last 20 years as a new way of doing business and tackling social and environmental issues. Program hands students the keys to a positive future image

An Independent Evaluation Report of the Social Enterprise in Schools Program has been launched this week in Melbourne. The report, the result of a 12-month independent evaluation of six schools participating in the pilot program was launched by the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation and ACRE. As part of the program, students created, developed and ran their own businesses within their school and donated the profits to a social cause they were passionate about. Modelled on a highly successful initiative of the Social Enterprise Academy (SEA) in Scotland, this program brings students, teachers, parents, local entrepreneurs and community leaders together to make a positive social impact.
