Understanding Social Enterprise
2-DAY ACTION LEARNING ·
50+ REGIONAL DELIVERIES
Developed by the global Social Enterprise Academy and delivered more than 50 times in regional Australia by ACRE. Deeply grounded in place, each workshop is built around the community it runs in — visits to working social enterprises, and challenges participants recognise as their own.
Cross-sector by design, it brings together leaders from local government, business, community and education to learn together and build shared capacity for social enterprise development.

“Before these two days I thought I was going to leave the valley — but now I feel like I want to stay and use these new ideas to make things happen here.”

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
Your opportunitiy
With support from the Victorian Government, ACRE is seeking four regional delivery partners for an initial three-year term. DJSIR funding covers the up-front costs of establishing the partnership in year one:
Two facilitators
from your organisation, trained by ACRE at the Old Beechworth Gaol.
Two workshop deliveries
in your region, up to 24 participants each, co-facilitated with ACRE toward your accreditation.
All year one fees covered
facilitator training, licensing, codelivery, accreditation and quality assurance.
ACRE delivers its own programs in Hume and is initially seeking four regional delivery partners for Barwon South West, Gippsland, Grampians and Loddon Mallee.
In years two and three, each partner sells and delivers Understanding Social Enterprise under licence from ACRE — a self-sustaining fee-for-service capability in your region.

Thinking about becoming an ACRE Delivery Partner in Victoria? We’ve had some great questions come through since opening our Delivery Partner EOI.
“”The best part of the workshop was that it was experiential. I wasn’t sitting at a table watching slide after slide — I had the chance to hear the stories of others and problem-solve with people I don’t normally work with. That’s what created those sparks and ‘ah-ha’ moments for me.”
