It’s a wrap!

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

These words are reflections from Bec, a rural changemaker, who this week completed Steps to StartUp, a guided e-learning and coaching program designed to help participants take social enterprise thinking to the next level.

ACRE – Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise Academy Australia co-hosted this program, with support from the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions.

From March until the end of May, a group of changemakers from bushfire and COVID-impacted rural LGAs across Victoria came together weekly with Social Enterprise Academy Australia facilitator Matt Perfect to review online learning modules, explore questions, share insights, and map out key actions for developing a social enterprise concept.

As the program wraps us, the group can continue ‘going far together’ by joining local, national and international social enterprise networks like SENVIC Social Enterprise Network Victoria and Social Shifters.

Well done to all who completed Steps to StartUp – the second stage of Thriving Rural Futures, a comprehensive program of webinars, guided e-learning and coaching that offered people tools and know-how to drive community led rejuvenation initiatives and build thriving communities over time.

Please get in touch if you are interested in bringing Thriving Rural Futures to your community.
