As a social enterprise that connects changemakers with transformational learning and development, ACRE is proud to be working alongside Social Enterprise Academy to support the development of a global health initiative.
Movember recently engaged ACRE and our international partner, Social Enterprise Academy to refresh, co-design and deliver a Train the Trainer facilitation skills program for ‘Movember Ahead of the Game’ – a global preventative mental health program based on Movember-funded research that uses sport to strengthen resilience and mental health literacy among young athletes, parents and coaches.
Representatives from the AFL and New Zealand Rugby, the Ahead of the Game Implementation Partners for Australia and New Zealand respectively, recently gathered in Victoria for the first round of 2025 ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions. This added to the existing network of Trainers in Australia where the program is being delivered nationally, and will allow roll-out across New Zealand to begin in 2025.
‘Train the Trainer’ facilitation is one of ACRE’s key learning and development offerings for organisations and businesses.
The ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions are designed to focus on Ahead of the Game program content and simultaneously build facilitation skills needed to train others and deliver the workshops, ensuring that remarkable workshops are delivered in communities across the globe.
ACRE is proud to be supporting Movember’s vital work – a journey that began back in 2022 when we partnered with Social Enterprise Academy to co-design and implement the first series of ‘Train the Trainer’ facilitation skills program to enable Movember’s key Implementation Partners to deliver Ahead of the Game.
What workshop participants said about the program:
“Exceeded expectations, especially the group connection. Really enjoyable.”
“Structural learning and education system that I can apply to lived experience.”
“I can see the structure and have been building my program in my head as the week has progressed”
“I can’t believe how far around the horseshoe I moved in such a short time”
“I’m impressed by the care taken in the design of the program”
