Join the team at Old Beechworth Gaol

We’re looking for a Chief Operating Officer

In 2016 ACRE led the community buyback of the Old Beechworth Gaol through a consortium of local investment and philanthropic support.

The site is now a base for a diverse range of innovative businesses and visitor experiences, including ACRE headquarters, and a Centre of Excellence for rejuvenating rural communities across Australia.

As a purpose led, impact focussed, for-profit social enterprise, the Old Beechworth Gaol has an ambitious growth agenda, centred around building a world-class, cultural tourism asset and visitor experience.

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Chief Operating Officer who can assist the Board to build out a contemporary cultural tourism and creative industries experience in North East Victoria.

The successful applicant will

  • bring strategic, commercial and values focused experience, ideally in a cultural tourism sector or a demonstrably transferable context, and
  • demonstrate a track record of delivering strong, yet sustainable, commercial outcomes.

Applications open until Friday 31 July.
